It was a simple thought that Michael Bridenstine had in January of 2014, while attending the New York International Children's Film Festival with his sons. He loved bringing his kids to see amazing shorts from around the world, and that's when the thought hit him.

Students, with help from their friends and families, would create original short films and then screen them in the school auditorium. The passive act of viewing would become the active art of creating, as kids poured their passion and creativity into visual storytelling. Students could see their own work up on the big screen, and funds raised would go to the PTO and be funneled back into the school.

Over 550 films later, with a ton of help from friends far and wide, this great idea has now become an even greater reality. Check out the students' films and see for yourself!
